Canine Karma is owned by Oliver Seymour, who has turned his lifetime passion for animals into a flourishing career helping owners and their dogs in the UK.
Oliver began his life with a dream of wanting to be a professional footballer and whilst trying to reach that dream, he tried his hand at many different jobs including estate agency, floor fitting and green keeping!
Eventually Oliver made it to semi professional football, but just didn’t feel it was right for him. After a few seasons he quit football altogether and was lost for a while, before finding a video on YouTube, labelled The Dog Whisperer.
Since then, his interest and passion for dog behaviour and psychology has become his life!.
After endless hours watching videos, studying books, going to seminars and helping friends and family with their dogs through the knowledge he had gained, Oliver joined a local doggy daycare centre in Hertfordshire that offered a luxury dog hotel, daycare and grooming services.
It was here that Oliver started off as a dog handler – dealing with twenty to thirty dogs daily – where his knowledge of dog behaviour took a huge learning curve, because he was being taught by the best teachers of all… the dogs themselves!
Oliver soon became the Head Behaviour Expert for the whole company – dealing with case after case of problem dogs.
After working for nearly two years and gaining an incredible amount of experience in dealing with all types of dogs and owners, Oliver decided to take the plunge and head out on his own…
…and start Canine Karma…
T,” as everyone knows him shows great desire to expand his knowledge about dogs and has been evident from the start.Â
Starting as a dog handler, T has quickly climbed through the ranks to become Operations Manager, showcasing his talents for working with both dogs and people.

His commitment and unwavering determination set him apart, making him a valuable asset to the team. T’s ability to manage morale and foster a positive team spirit further demonstrates his leadership qualities.Â
Before joining Canine Karma, Elaine was a pub landlady!
Elaine craved a better work-life balance doing something she enjoyed and is our longest-standing employee –Â starting off as a part-time pickup and drop-off driver for our doggy daycare.Â
As time progressed, Elaine tried many other roles in the company and has finally found where she shines!
She is now the General Manager of the company and runs the the doggy daycare and dog boarding side of things.Â

Kevyn is a real character and anyone who knows him will agree that he’s adopted the name ‘Crocodile Dundee’ with his famous hat!
Georgia started out her working life as a carer, so hadn’t worked in this industry before. As soon as she started at Canine Karma, she had the care side on lock!Â
Her vibrant energy and always positive attitude shine throughout the Canine Karma team. Her thirst for knowledge is fantastic and she is striving to become the best trainer/behaviourist she can be.Â
Georgia is the Daycare Assistant Manager and Senior Dog Handler, and you’ll be seeing her a lot more on the training circuit and taking a forward moving role in working with the more challenging dogs.Â
Lovable Ellie has a fantastic, calm energy which the more nervous dogs are drawn to. She’s working hard to gain as much experience and knowledge as possible as she never had a career working with dogs before.Â
Ellie took an interest in grooming, so we opened up a Dog Grooming Parlour for her to run – something that Canine Karma had never done before!
The gamble has paid off and Ellie has done fantastically, diving headfirst into learning all about grooming and taking it in her stride.Â
She is now our head groomer and is smashing it!
Holly is well-loved by everyone at Canine Karma! Her fantastic, lovable personality seems to have made a lasting impression on both her colleagues and the dogs she works with. It’s clear that Holly’s happy-go-lucky energy naturally draws the dogs to her, creating a positive and engaging environment.Â
Holly’s proactive nature and dedication to understanding how dogs work have been instrumental in her growth as both a person and a dog handler. Her thirst for knowledge and progress is evident in how far she has come since joining the company.
Ellie came from a background in caring and having a genuine love for dogs, she seems like a perfect fit for the company.Â
Ellie has worked with dog rescues in Eastern Europe after her experience in the NHS, showcasing her dedication to making a difference in the lives of dogs.Â
Ellie’s passion for dogs is evident, and her willingness to dive into any task presented to her is truly admirable. Her enthusiastic approach will surely contribute to the success of Canine Karma. It’s fantastic to know that Ellie has a long-term goal of working with rescues, and we will be accommodating her passion by involving her in that process. Canine Karma’s support will provide her with opportunities to shine and make a positive impact in the field of dog rescues.Â
Eddy is our Head Driver and a great dog handler too; he loves both positions. Before coming to Canine Karma, Eddy was a hairdresser and carer. He also worked for a charity animal rescue for five years, getting involved with everything from foxes to dogs to cats and all sorts of other creatures. He even learned to assist with routine check ups and get the animals ready for operations. In his spare time he used to volunteer at Paradise Wildlife Park, where he fed zebras, birds of prey and so much more.
Georgia then introduced him to Canine Karma. He just loves watching the dogs. It has really opened his eyes to how much we have to learn about dogs and he loves working with the team.
The ‘van dogs’ get so excited when Eddy picks them up in the morning – seeing their little faces is the best part of his day!
Before Ella joined Canine Karma she was studying Level 2 Animal Management at college. She completed her work experience with us before joining full time.
Her favourite breed is a Labrador Retriever as she loves their personalities and looks. She has a mixed breed 18 year old dog called Missy, who is her best friend. She has always wanted to work with dogs and working with us has improved her knowledge and confidence in lots of ways. She feels grateful that she found Canine Karma and continues to improve her knowledge every day.
Some of you may know Rebecca from the dog park. She grew up around dogs which is where she got her love for them. She previously worked at another kennels and rescue centre before discovering Canine Karma.
Her favourite breed is a mixed breed. She has two dogs at home: Cora, a mixed breed, and Tess who is a Springer Spaniel.
Before coming to Canine Karma, Connor was a Landscaper, and he also taught Wakeboarding. He likes working with dogs because he finds it interesting to understand their behaviours.
Ruth joined the Canine Karma team after being a florist and looking for something different. She got some training from Kevyn with her dog, Frodo, and knew instantly we were the team for her. Her favourite part is seeing the dogs improve in confidence, being more sociable and learning balanced play.
Growing up with two Bully mixes has lead her to love them, and she loves going on adventures with them.
Harley’s favourite thing about working with dogs is that it is great for your own mental wellbeing as you have to work on yourself to become a better pack leader. As well as her love for dogs, she also loves to pick up her guitar and have a little impromptu Karaoke session now and then.
Before starting at Canine Karma, Dan was a part time tennis teacher, and he loves football too.
He started having training with Ollie, with his dog Caesar, and after one session, Ollie asked him if he wanted a job with us! He had found himself at a crossroad in his life and wanted a career change. He always loved dogs and was keen to learn more about them. So, it was a no brainer.
Paige worked in retail before becoming a groomer. That is where she realised how much she loved working with dogs.
After getting some training with her own dog, Coco, she found her way to Canine Karma and discovered her love for dog psychology. She loves so many breeds, but Staffies and Labradors will always have her
heart.
When she is not with the dogs, she loves being creative by painting and customising shoes and clothing.
Amy joined us on work experience, but she is now at college studying a T-level Animal Care course, where she is still working for us to complete her college hours and part time on weekends too. She came to us because of her interest in dog psychology and she thinks it is something every dog owner could benefit from knowing more about.
She grew up around dogs and she loves their work ethic, especially when they are herding livestock.
